In 2004 he secured a Job at the World famous RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in treating Musculoskeletal outpatients, Orthopaedics, Pain management and Spinal injuries.

In 2008 Rob became the Inpatient Rehab Specialist Physiotherapist working for all the consultants across the trust. This role involved dealing with complex orthopaedic patients from all over the UK, who wished to attend the RJAH for specialist elective rehabilitation.

Rob is a qualified Clinical Educator, and takes an active part in the in-service training for undergraduate and qualified staff.

Rob has a wealth of experience in running completing multiple marathons including The Great Wall of China Marathon, where he finished 7th , and Everest marathon starting at Everest base camp in the Himalayas. It is therefore no surprise that outside his NHS experience, Rob has worked with elite/amateur athletes across a variety of sport including football and running.

He has a special interest in all things running including running related injuries, running analysis, biomechanics, coaching and strength & conditioning in endurance athletes.

He is currently working on his athletic coaching qualifications which has given him a real insight to successfully managing all aspects of running-related problems.

In his spare time Rob continues with his regular training, and on the flat he has a marathon PB of 2hrs 45mins and has run under 3hrs on several occasions.

He has represented North Wales at cross country and is part of the successful Shrewsbury Athletic Club running squad.
He lives in rural Mid Wales with his wife Keeley and their Norwegian Elkhound “Loki”.
