Originally from Sutton Coldfield, Julie started her career working at British Telecom and AIB banking. She moved to the Oswestry area in 2002.

From a young age, Julie's passion was always primarily fitness and sport in both team and individual events. Julie pursued running and athletics to county level. In 2002 Julie entered herself into a reality TV show – SAS Are You Tough Enough? From an entry panel of 1000+, Julie was short-listed to be one of the 6 ladies and 22 men to take part. In 2003 Julie qualified with a Diploma in PT/Sports Massage Therapy and became a registered IIHHT/IIST.

Later that year she set up her own fitness business – No Butts Fitness. This business is based in and around the Oswestry area, offering PT, Indoor Cycling Classes/Circuits/Boxercise, and Sports Massage Therapy.

Julie’s approach is holistic. She believes in all round health and fitness through a balanced lifestyle, good nutrition, positivity, and the great outdoors.

Having been a full-time working mother she has always continued to pursue personal challenges through fitness.

Amongst her challenges have been representing GB 8 x in the Olympic Distance Triathlon [Age Group] in Mexico, Madeira, Switzerland, Portugal, France, Hawaii, Denmark gaining a Bronze Medal at Autun, France in 2006.

She continues to enjoy Running and Cycling and is still actively competing in various events and challenges - Time Trials, Trail Races. She has completed 3 Marathons - London, Paris and Edinburgh and was a Club Athlete for 25/30 years. She cycled from JOGLE in 2009- 12 days, and again LEJOG in 2014 - 10 days. She has run the Offa's Dyke - 178m in 7 days, walked the stretch of Hadrians Wall - 98m in 4 days, as well as walked a circular route of 180m totally self-sufficient part Offa's Dyke and Glydwrs Way - 12 days with her two Border Collie dogs.

In addition to running No Butts Fitness...

Julie has worked at Oswestry Leisure Centre, The Flash Leisure Centre, Welshpool, and both Gym121 and Bodytech Health Club, in Oswestry, in the Fitness capacity. She was also Sports massage therapist at The Osteopathic Clinic in Chester in 2018 for 12 months supporting their client's massage needs.

Julie is currently based in Llansantffraid working from home but also works in a mobile capacity supporting individual and group/event requests.
