Pauline qualified with an honours degree in Psychology from University College Cork in 1984 and worked for several years in development of education before studying Physiotherapy.
Pauline qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1991 from Oswestry and N. Staffordshire School of Physiotherapy.
Pauline’s first post was at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in a rotational position where she developed a keen interest in neurological disability and rehabilitation, holding a senior position in the out-patient neurological rehabilitation team.
Pauline moved to The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Gobowen in 2000 to take up position in paediatrics and later joined the out-patient team as a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in neurological conditions, covering the field of general neurodisability and rehabilitation. She pursued specialist training in the areas of Hydrotherapy for neurological conditions, treatment for Facial Palsy and the treatment of Vestibular conditions and dizziness.
In 2012, Pauline moved from the NHS to work as Clinical Lead physiotherapist at the Movement Centre.
This is a charity based on the footprint of the RJAH, which uses specialist physiotherapy intervention to assist children with movement control difficulties to gain vital life changing skills. Pauline left The Movement Centre in 2019 and now works part time in private practice at Borders Physio, treating patients with neurological conditions.
Outside of physiotherapy, she enjoys working with her husband on the family farm, and when possible, catching up with their three grown up daughters, and her family in Ireland.
