We at Borders Physio and Sports Injury Centre are very excited to announce that we have moved into our new premises. All the hard work over the past few months has paid off, and we are now operating from Unit 10, Artillery Business Park, Park Hall, Oswestry, SY11 4AD. It will mean that we will be providing our services in the Oswestry area from one venue.
We would like to thank the Oswestry Rugby Club and Oswestry Leisure Centre for all their help during our time there. As you can see form the pictures, the transformation is incredible, so a huge thank you must be extended to Tom Eratt for all his hard work fitting out the unit to suit our specific needs, and in such a short space of time. Also thanks to Evans Enterprise LTD for helping us through the smooth transition into our new premises.
The unit will cater for all aspects of Physiotherapy including Musculoskeletal problems e.g. Neck/ Back pain, sciatica, painful joints such as shoulders and knees, Orthopaedic related problems, Sports Injuries, sports massage, Neurological conditions and Paediatrics (for children); All this with a dedicated rehab area for functional rehabilitation. We also provide running analysis and screening, catering to all types of runners and abilities.
We also continue our strong relationship with MSF fitness (www.msffitness.co.uk) based in Telford and we hope the new unit will strengthen our link even further. Our satellite clinic in Nantwich is going strong with regular sessions taking place there offering Physiotherapy including acupuncture.
We at Borders are all looking forward to our new venture and look forward to working with you all in the future.
Happy New Year from all at Borders Physio, we hope 2017 fulfils your expectations and more!
Following a pricing review, we have had to make the difficult decision to increase some of our prices for services that we provide. This is due to increasing running costs, and to enable us to continue to provide the best service to you all.

We are proud to announce a new exciting partnership with Mark Fenn at MSF Fitness in Telford. Rob Fox will be providing Physiotherapy services to members of MSF fitness initially, from within the gym on a regular basis. We were all extremely impressed with what Mark has set up there, as well as his own opinion on how personal training should be provided to people, with a very personal touch. He believes strongly in attention to detail, and achieves this with 1:1 sessions, so that the client can get the most out of every attendance. Mark was very keen to get Borders on board, to provide a better service to his clients, in order to keep them training without injuring themselves further. Being on site, allows us to advise Mark on what a person might need to work on and what to avoid while undertaking their sessions, which will be beneficial to the client to maximise their potential. Mark also has a very unique class that he provides to his clients, which is his wattbike sessions, and is very popular with people in the area. The bike can tell you how much power you are producing as well as your cycling efficiency, comparing your legs to one another. This is a great way to train improving your performance on your own bike, as it can give you an idea of what your body is capable of achieving with each ride, whether it be a race or a fitness session.
We kicked this new venture off on Wednesday 21st of May, with a Running Drills seminar, presented and taken by Noel Harding, with members of MSF fitness invited to come along. The seminar was based on muscle activation and drills that break up the gait cycle so to maximise control and efficiency of your running pattern. Noel made it a very fun and informal session, but there were certainly some undertones of hard work that challenged the participants physically as well as mentally! We hope to roll out the seminar to more people in the future; this is just the beginning.
Rob has already provided numerous sessions, which have been very popular, with many people already coming to see him for an assessment and advice on various issues.
Borders Physio and MSF fitness are linking up again on Sunday 20th of July, with a course organised by Borders taking place at the MSF fitness studio. IAMTOOLS are coming to lead a session on Instrument-Assisted Massage, which will add another skill to the team’s armoury to provide even more treatment options for our patients to hopefully speed up their recovery.
